The Allied Group renovated the historical Franklin Hotel and delivered a brand conversion to The Graduate. With a nod to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 70 guest rooms were renovated in addition to the public space, atrium, fitness center, bar, and lounge. High-end finishes were applied throughout the property with a unique use of reclaimed basketball court flooring, showcasing Allied’s commitment to sustainability. One of the highlights of this project was the addition of a replica of Michael Jordan’s 1983 Granville Towers dorm room. Guestrooms also received fresh paint, tile, vinyl, and wood flooring, with pops of Carolina Blue to elevate the tailored and curated decor that is significant to the region’s history. Our skilled team used custom millwork and hand-crafted design elements, such as intricately placed stones in fireplaces, to incorporate themes that pay homage to the rich history and spirit of the town. The Graduate Hotel showcases the genuine passion, dedication, and hard work our team puts into helping bring our properties to life, with extreme attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional quality.
