The transformation of an existing hotel into Trailborn, a new boutique hotel and hospitality brand, drew inspiration from the vibrant outdoor culture of Highlands, North Carolina. Allied worked in close collaboration with ownership and design professionals to transform their architectural vision into reality, infusing natural elements throughout the guestrooms and public spaces. The renovation came with significant challenges—managing logistics in a remote location and navigating two hurricanes demanded a resourceful, adaptive team capable of solving complex, unforeseen issues while staying on schedule, within budget with a high level of quality. The project’s success is a testament to the team’s experience, resilience, and unwavering commitment to exceed the client’s expectations. The newly renovated and repositioned hotel seamlessly merges modern luxury with rustic charm, reflecting the beauty and spirit of the surrounding landscape.
