Pedro Lescaille promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer, The Allied Group

Neptune, NJ (January 2019) – Chief Executive Officer Robert Smith of The Allied Group announced the promotion of Pedro Lescaille to President and Chief Operating Officer.

“Pedro has navigated The Allied Group over the past 13 years through both challenging times and periods of significant growth in his role as Chief Operating Officer.  He has demonstrated his commitment to our Core Values and is a true and trusted leader of our organization,” Robert Smith recently stated while announcing Pedro’s promotion.

Pedro is a seasoned veteran in the construction industry with over 30 years’ of experience, mostly in leadership roles. He continues to look for every opportunity for growth and fosters a true commitment to excellence that is felt at every level within the company.  He will continue to strengthen Allied’s footprint in the hospitality industry and look for breakthrough opportunities in strategic verticals and other geographical areas where Allied’s renovation expertise is easily transferable.  Pedro believes the true power of The Allied Group lies in its people.  “We want to provide the room to grow ideas, skills, constantly improve our execution and in return, we achieve success together as a team, that is the formula for sustainable growth,” Pedro explained.

2018 Fall Beach Sweeps

The Allied Group participated in Clean Ocean Action’s 33rd Annual Fall 2018 Beach Sweeps event. Over 60 NJ locations participated on October 20, 2018. This event speaks to The Allied Group’s core values expressing the care for our local marine life and beaches. “It was a great teaching moment for our family members that attended during the clean-up, expressing our family values at The Allied Group and the care we take in being socially responsible, President of The Allied Group Robert Smith explained. “Covering two of our core values Family Values and Social Responsibility made this a great event to participate in.”

Since 1985, over 123,200 volunteers have participated and removed over 6.2 million pieces of debris from NJ’s beaches and waterways.

NJBIZ Announces 2018 Best Places to Work in NJ!

The Allied Group wins Best Places to work honors, NJBIZ 2018.

The Allied Group has been named one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in New Jersey in the medium-sized company category. This survey and awards program identifies, recognizes and honors the top places of employment in New Jersey that benefit the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 65 small/medium-sized companies (15-249 employees) and 35 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees).

To qualify, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • At least 15 employees working in New Jersey
  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit or government entity
  • Be a publicly or privately held business
  • A facility in New Jersey
  • A minimum of 1 year in business

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The overall registration and survey process was managed by Best Companies Group (BCG). BCG also analyzed the data provided and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.

The awards program, created in 2005, is produced by NJBIZ. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey awards reception and ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018 from 5 PM – 8 PM at iPlay America’s Event Center in Freehold, NJ.

During the awards ceremony, each company’s ranking will be revealed live on the big screen – but the fun doesn’t stop there! Guests are invited to access the amusement park to enjoy rides, games and dessert when the program ends.

Getting High Scores During a Renovation…

The Allied Group always prides themselves on working in an occupied space with minimal disruption to the hotel staff and guests.  Interestingly enough, TripAdvisor was receiving positive feedback in the form of high scores from guests during the renovation of DoubleTree Campbell Centre, TX.

The Allied team completed 300 guest rooms, upgrades to the 21st-floor skyline ballroom, conference/board room, guestroom, elevator lobbies, and corridors.  The public area renovation included registration lobby, restaurant and bar (82Fifty Restaurant and Bar), ballroom and public restrooms.

The Allied Group finishes the Westin, Mt. Laurel NJ.

The Allied Group completes the renovation of this full service hotel.

The Allied Group completes the renovation of the Westin, Mt. Laurel, NJ.   This full-service property went through a complete renovation of all existing areas.  Allied’s team renovated the lobby, bar, restaurant with millwork and tile throughout. Continued through the corridors, business center, and public restrooms.  Refreshed the meeting rooms, boardrooms and ballrooms with new carpet, paint, wallcovering, and millwork.  Included in the complete renovation project was the pool and fitness center and 75 guestrooms, bathrooms and corridors on each floor.

Team Allied completed the Wylie Inn and Conference Center at Endicott College, Beverly, MA.  This historical property, dating as far back as 1901, has 3 separate buildings that comprise the property.  This boutique-styled property houses 14 conference/meeting rooms, auditorium, ballroom, library, conservatory, garden room, billard room and oval room and 92 guestrooms.

The Allied Group renovated the lobby, grab-and-go station, conference/meeting rooms, auditorium, adding appropriate updates in technology, installation of carpet and paint throughout. With 5 variations of room styles within the 92 room hotel, they provided; light framing throughout junior suites, replacement of wardrobe units, bedding, furnishings, window treatments, and carpeting throughout all guestrooms.

 

Bob’s Steak and Chop House, Manhattan is complete

The first Bob’s Steakhouse restaurant in the Northeast, at The Omni Berkshire, New York City, is officially complete.  Millwork throughout the bar, main and private dining areas demonstrate the amount of skill and focus that is put into the fit and finish of an Allied project.   Review some of the photos to reveal the craftsmanship The Allied Group showcased throughout this project.
